Windows 10: Attempting to snip (custom screenshot) with just one shortcut?

Hi guys,

I have OneNote installed, which I believe allows me to use the keyboard shortcut of Win + Shift + S. When I do this, I can select a portion of the screen to capture, and it all goes as planned, however nothing happens after this. It's not saved to the clipboard, nothing pops up etc... Can't work out why.

If I do it the manual way: Right click OneNote tool > Click "Screen Capture" and then do it, works fine, and I can copy it from the clipboard into wherever I like.

I'd really like it to work just from the windows shortcut, as using it without this requires a few more clicks, which bugs me when it could so easily be streamlined (there's a shortcut that lets me select a box, why doesn't it work?)

No more Print Screen Keyboard Shortcuts on Windows 10???

Yes I've seen this tool but this seems like and emmense amount of work to just get a quick screenshot Search, open tool, more clicks, then select size of snip etc just to get ONE quick screenshot? Crazy.

 

installed windows 10 and can't see c: drive

Press Windows key+R and type in "C:" without quotes.Please share a screenshot also.

Open Snipping Tool and take a screenshot
then use 2nd button from the right to upload one
