  1. Audio changes volume when changing what window is in front/selected.

I've done just about everything to troubleshoot the problem, but Windows 10 keeps changing the volume when I change the window that is in front or selected.Ex. I'll be watching YouTube, then I'll open another window next to my screen, and then the volume for YouTube or whatever is playing, like MusicBee, suddenly lowers in volume. When I click back on the window that is responsible for the audio, it resumes the same sound level.Thanks.

    :)

  2. Audio volume cannot be changed while Youtube Video is playing.

    Model: Nokia Lumia 920

    OS version: 8.0.10211.204

    Firmware Revision: 1232.5951.1249.1001

    Hardware Revision: 1.0.0.0

    Radio Software Version: 1.0.202075.3

    Chip SOC Version: 8960

    Bug Reproduction Steps:

    • Use Bing to search any video
    • IE10 goes to the Youtube
    • Play Youtube Video
    • Even the audio volume is up to the max or down to zero, you still can't feel volume changed.
    • If I long press "<-" hardware back button to go to App Switch Screen, and change the volume at App Switch Screen. Thus, the volume of the Youtube Video will be changed.

  3. System changes my mic volume whenever I change my audio output device

    Hi

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

It seems like there might be an issue with the audio settings on your computer. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:

    1. Right-click on the speaker icon in the bottom right corner of your screen and select "Open Sound settings."
    2. Under the "Input" section, make sure your microphone is selected as the default recording device.
    3. Click on the "Device properties" link underneath the input device.
    4. In the device properties window, go to the "Additional device properties" section.
    5. In the "Levels" tab, check if the microphone volume is set to the desired level. Adjust it if necessary.
    6. Click on the "Advanced" tab and uncheck the "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" option. Click "Apply" and then "OK" to save the changes.
    7. Repeat these steps for each audio output device you use.
If the issue persists, you can try updating your audio drivers. To do this:

    1. Press the Windows key + X and select "Device Manager" from the menu.
    2. Expand the "Sound, video, and game controllers" section.
    3. Right-click on your audio device and select "Update driver."
    4. Choose the option to search automatically for updated driver software.
    5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the driver update process.
Please feel free to let me know if you have any further updates, thanks.

    Best regards

  4. Audio changes volume when changing what window is in front/selected.

Change the name of a Volume

To change the name of a volume on your computer, you can follow these steps:

    1. Open Finder and go to the "Devices" section on the left-hand side of the window.
    2. Find the volume that you want to rename and right-click on it.
    3. Select "Get Info" from the drop-down menu.
    4. In the Info window that appears, you should see a field labeled "Name". Click on this field to select it, and then type in the new name that you want to give the volume.
    5. Press Enter to save the new name.
The volume's name should now be updated, and you should see the new name displayed in Finder and any other applications that interact with the volume. Note that changing the volume's name will not affect the data stored on the volume, but it may affect the behavior of some applications that rely on the volume's name for certain operations.
