  1. Audio Device No longer available.

    Hello,

I have a Sony SRS-XB10 Stereo attached to my desktop computer windows 10 via a usb port on the back of the monitor. The other day, I accidentally troubleshooted sound issues and in the process I may have uninstalled the device somehow. That is to say, the output device is no longer available in the sounds settings. It shows up on my laptop when I plug it into that. But not my desktop. The pics below shows what it looked like before in the settings and what it currently looks like on my laptop. And it's listed among the output devices.

When I plug the stereo into my desktop now, the option to select it in the sound settings is no longer available and it isn't listed among the output devices. I see the device in control panel=>hardware and sound=>Devices and Printers. But, it isn't available among my output devices on my desktop now and I don't see it in the sound control panel. Where did it go and how do I get it back? Below is a current pic.

After this happened, I tried several things. I tried running the audio troubleshooter. It didn't return anything. I tried uninstalling the relevant bluetooth drivers in device manager. Now they're just gone. They didn't reinstall on restart. And there is no longer an option to turn on bluetooth. I checked the manufacturers website and downloaded the latest bluetooth drivers. That didn't fix it either. So, the bluetooth isn't working now. But, this was an issue before I uninstalled those drivers. I didn't touch the two sound drivers related to the device after the bluetooth ones didn't reinstall. I tried re-pairing the device. It seems to be paired as I got a beep when I plugged it back in and the lights are on. I would do a system restore. But, after re-installing drivers, the only restore point is after the issue began.

    Any help is appreciated.

No audio device is installed (How to fix?)

Since you uninstalled the Intel Display audio and you no longer have audio, that suggests you are using HDMI (??) If this is the case then the Realtek is not being used and not causing your problem.

First step as mentioned is to reinstall the Intel Display Audio.

  3. Audio device unrecognised after waking from sleep

From time to time I wake my laptop from sleep and find that the audio driver (Conexant Venice) is no longer loaded. The audio hardware is listed in the Device Manager as just "base system device" (or two base system devices, to be precise). Rebooting fixes the problem each time, but it takes a while. Is there a quicker way to make the audio work again than rebooting? I've tried obvious steps like running the troubleshooter and disabling and then re-enabling the devices.

Realtek Audio Manager No Longer Available in Device Manager

Funny thing happened after this past Wednesday's Windows 10 update. The Realtek Audio Manager which I've been using for years is no longer listed or available in Device Manager. Anywhere. Realtek HD audio is enabled in startup.

When I select 5.1 sound in the "Configure Speakers" tab in the Sound/Playback window I have no sound other than for the Front Left/Right speakers. The Center, Subwoofer and two rear speakers show the little animation that you get when you test the speakers
    but nothing is heard.

I've used the MSI utility to re-install the Realtek HD Audio Drivers for my motherboard. No change.

    Anyone have any ideas?
