  1. "Audio device not found", no sound since Nov 10 Win 10 update

I lost my audio with the most recent WIN10 update on my Lenovo PC. Speakers are very old and very great sounding Altec Lansing ACS41 sold as Gateway 2000s. Were working fine prior to the update.

Checked all plugs, etc - no difference

Did automatic audio troubleshooter - no help

Did separate driver update with no improvement

NO audio/speakers listed as output devices in any places such as Device Manager, Settings, etc. - so cannot have it run in Compatibility mode

Cannot find a driver from the speaker company online

Am reluctant to go back to previous WIN10 version since I get a warning that unspecified apps and files may need to be reinstalled afterwards.

Does the community think this is a driver issue? Anyone know where I can find a driver that works with this version of WIN10 and my speakers? Any other suggestions?

    TIA

    :)
