Windows 10: Audio Device Not Installed Issue

Earlier today without a windows update I may add my girlfriends laptop Lenovo Thinkpad Windows 10 had its audio go out and the error message always that there was no audio device installed. I tried uninstalling/updating audio drivers and found that there was an Intel Audio driver that wasn't able to turn on. After trying to no avail to download a realtek audio driver I gave up. No idea where to go from here, I even reset her computer back to a previous version of windows and the issue was still there.

Audio device issue

Incompatible audio device drivers are known to operate against the method that Windows 10 follows. First, uninstall the audio driver, then follow these steps to resolve the issue:

• Right-click on the name of your PC at the top of the list of devices in
  Device Manager.
• Select Scan for hardware changes to reinstall the device driver, or download and install the latest version from the manufacturer’s website.

Numerous audio devices - why?

Looks like you have audio drivers installed for your AMD card. If you don't use it, you should be able to just uninstall that aspect of AMD drivers. I don't use the Audio through my Nvidia card, so I just don't install that driver.

Or, just ignore them as you suggest.

Method 1: Run the Troubleshoot Hardware and Devices. It
reviews, diagnose and identifies operational or technical problems within a hardware device.

• Press Windows Key +R, type
  Control Panel.
• Type
  troubleshooting in the search bar, click on troubleshooting.
• Click on
  Hardware and Devices.
• Follow the steps from the wizard to run the troubleshooter.

Method 2: Uninstall and re-install the audio drivers.

• Press Windows key + X and click on Device Manager.
• Expand Sound, video and game controllers.
• Right click on the audio device and Uninstall.
• Restart the computer to reinstall the drivers.
