Windows 10: Audio Doesn't Work

Discus and support Audio Doesn't Work in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; I have no sound. The computer says there are no output devices plugged in anytime that I troubleshoot.     Audio Doesn't Work


    I have no sound. The computer says there are no output devices plugged in anytime that I troubleshoot. I can and have used the speakers and headphones I am trying to use on other devices with no issue.


    Its an ASUS Tuf Gaming x570 plus wifi motherboard and I have been able to download the realtek hd audio drivers it supplies only they don't show up in the device manager at all.


    I've tried reseting the drivers, to no result. I've tried going directly to the realtek website to download the drivers from there and they don't show up. I thought the problem was with the motherboard and since its still under warranty sent it for repairs. I've gotten an entirely new motherboard and still the audio drivers don't work. Some of the suggested fixes don't really work since the Realtek drivers don't appear in the device manager.


    Anything that'll get me sound would be much appreciated because Im not sure what else to do.

    Windows Audio doesnt work, everytime a restart is required to bring back the audio

    Hi Anthony,

    Thanks for providing suggestions. I have tried all the listed troubleshooting before I raise an question over here.

    None of the things helped....in few steps it makes Audio work(Only because of the Restart that is made) again if I shutdown my system and start back after couple of minutes/hours audio doesn't work.

    Before we proceed, I would like you to provide the information stated below:

    • Did you make any changes to the PC prior to this issue?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you performed to fix the issue?

    Can not record audio.

    Hi,

    We suggest that you run troubleshooting for Audio Recording by following these steps:

    • Type troubleshooting on the search box.
    • Click View all.
    • Select Recording Audio.
    • Follow the steps to troubleshoot Recording Audio.
