Windows 10: Audio droppouts on windows 11, LatencyMon seems to point to ACPI.sys, but I can't fix it....

I bought this laptop specifically to make and perform music live a few months ago, however I'm running into small hiccups, audio drop outs etc. when I run Reaper, Traktor, Reaktor, or even just watching youtube videos. I've done the obvious, like play with the buffer settings, try different drivers I'm using a Motu m4 audio interface, tweaked powers settings, following windows 11 optimization guides for audio, etc.. According to LatencyMon, the issues seems to be specifically related to ACPI.sys, however I have no idea how exactly to remedy this. Is it at all possible to run Windows 11 on

Wdf01000.sys causing DPC and audio is cracking

I've been troubleshooting audio issues with LatencyMon for months now.
I believe those issues started after the Fall Creator update. I ran LatencyMon and the program says everything is ok but I can still hear
those popups and cracks in the audio.I changed the power settings from Balanced to High performance but didn't fix it. NDIS, Wdf01000.sys and nvidia are one of the top ones on the list but I already updated my network drivers/tried old ones/updated again..
nothing changed. Same with the nvidia drivers. And that Wdf01000 I have no idea what it is. Apparently it's some windows driver. How do I troubleshoot it? I am running Windows 10 and everything is up to date.

Hi, if you search tenforums for Latencymon, for example, you will find other threads which might suggest a way forward.

Diagnosing this problem is not straightforward.

One approach is to simplify hardware as much as possible, another to use a somewhat daunting tool from MS, the Windows Performance Recorder (tutorial available).




Similarly if you search tenforums for references to this you will see some example screenshots.

- when did you last not have this problem?
- what has changed since then?
- change of hardware... feature update (upgrade).. other updates...

LatencyMon

Greetings,

I just updated Windows 10 1909. I ran LatencyMon and got a bunch of errors. I have attached screenshots of the error messages in the order they appeared.

I was able to run the program when I was on 1903. I can't say for certain that it is the OS upgrade that caused this. I haven't run LatencyMon for a couple of months.

The last dialogue(below) appeared after the UI opened and I attempted to start the analysis.





Any help would be most appreciated.
