    Audio is a lot quieter than usual


    I normally use some wired earbuds using the headphone jack on the front of my computer, and they work well.I haven't used my computer for almost a month, but when I got back to it, the same wired headphones suddenly were a lot quieter. Before they sounded loud at about a volume of 30, but now I'd need to go up to 70 or 80 to even hear them. I haven't changed any settings at all, so I'm not sure why or how this happened.I looked up some solutions such as turning on loudness equalization, but that didn't help much.Does anyone know how to fix this random problem?

    Can not record audio.

    We suggest that you run troubleshooting for Audio Recording by following these steps:

    • Type troubleshooting on the search box.
    • Click View all.
    • Select Recording Audio.
    • Follow the steps to troubleshoot Recording Audio.

    Yes, but my suggestion does not mean that they are quieter than that.

    Audio is a lot quieter than usual

    Audio louder than usual until volume is changed


    The driver should be listed in Programs and features as Realtek HD audio driver or similar. In worst case, just try to install the new driver on top. It will detect present driver and suggest to uninstall it, select yes and proceed.
