Windows 10: Audio issues after external devices being used

hello, I'd like to know if this is a windows 11 issue I believe it is but I want to clarify it, after using and unplugging a headset in headset audio output and input, the overall general audio seems to be a bit lower, even though the volume is at 100% and I fixed it by disabling/re enabling the speaker via device manager, I never experienced this with windows 10 and would like to know if this will get fixed, it's really a hassle to keep on doing that after unplugging a speaker/headset a couple of times and it annoys me

External audio device

The difficulty that you're experiencing may be caused by corruption in system files or an audio driver issue. For us to isolate the problem, we would like to know the following:

• Did you make any changes to your computer before the issue started?
• Have you tried updating or uninstalling/reinstalling your audio driver? If you haven't, kindly do so.
  
• Do you also encounter the same problem when connecting the external audio devices to another PC?
• Have you taken any troubleshooting steps so far?

In the meantime, we recommend that you run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter. This program will try to diagnose and resolve the issues that it finds. To do this, follow these steps:

1. In the search field on your taskbar, type in Troubleshooting, then press
Enter.

2. On the left panel, select View all.

3. Click Hardware and Devices.

4. Click Next to run the troubleshooter.

If the issue persists, we suggest using the
System File Checker (SFC) tool. This tool scans and repairs the damaged and corrupted system files on your computer.

Audio device issue

Hi Venu,

Incompatible audio device drivers are known to operate against the method that Windows 10 follows. First, uninstall the audio driver, then follow these steps to resolve the issue:

• Right-click on the name of your PC at the top of the list of devices in
  Device Manager.
• Select Scan for hardware changes to reinstall the device driver, or download and install the latest version from the manufacturer’s website.

Audio stuttering after wake

Knowing that you have problems with your audio after waking up from sleep, you can try the following suggestions:



1. Check for Hardware Conflicts:

• Open Device Manager.
  
• Expand the “System devices” category.
  
• Look for any devices with yellow exclamation marks or error messages.
  
• If you find any conflicts, try disabling or uninstalling the conflicting devices.
  

2. Test with External Audio Device:

• Connect an external audio device, such as headphones or speakers, to the computer.
  
• If the audio stuttering persists, it suggests a problem with the Realtek audio device or its drivers.
  

3. Disable Audio Enhancements:

• Go to Control Panel > Sound.
  
• Select the Realtek audio device as the playback device.
  
• Click on the “Properties” button.
  
• Go to the “Enhancements” tab.
  
• Uncheck all the enhancement options.
