  1. Audio issues only through headphones.


    So, since the horrendous may update, I suddenly have issues with headphones only. If I hook up through bluetooth, through a USB port, or through my audio jack, windows plays my audio fine sometimes, but other times it causes issues. If I attempt to record it, the audio issues don't even happen in windows, and it's not an issue with my headphones as they work on multiple other non windows devices, and all are supposed to work with windows. Any ideas? Yes, I have audio enhancements shut off. Everything is up to date.

    • Are you thinking play audio through speakers and headphones at the same time?
    If yes, it's not possible to do so. You can only play audio through speaker or headphones at once.

    Hi Charlie,

    The port of the device could be the culprit why only the left side of your headphones works. A hardware or software changes could also be the reason for this kind of issue. However, let's not assume anything yet until we isolated your concern. We suggest
    that you run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter in Windows Settings. Simply search for
    Troubleshoot in the start menu. Under Find and fix other problems, click on
    Hardware and Devices. We also suggest that you run the audio test for your headphones in Hardware and Sound. Here are the steps on how to do so:

    • Go to Control Panel, then click on Hardware and Sound.
    • Under Sound, click on Manage audio devices.
    • Click on Headphones, then Configure at the bottom right.
    • Run the test, and see if both sides of your headphones are working there.

    • What happens when you play without headphones?


    Please follow the steps to run hardware troubleshooter on the computer and check if that helps you:

    • Type Troubleshooting in the search box.
    • Click on View all option on the left side of the Windows.
    • Click on Hardware and Devices option.
    • Click on Next and follow the onscreen instructions to troubleshoot the issue.
