Windows 10: Audio Issues

I was playing games with my headphones working perfectly and my PC suddenly crashed so I decided to force shut it down because it wasn't reacting to any commands for 5 minutes. After turning it back on about 3 hours later, my sound stopped working on my headphones and started coming out of the monitor. I tried trouble shooting, system restoring to when my audio worked, reinstalling audio drivers. I have went to my device manager and under the sound, video, and controller section I could only see my monitor and not my headphones. I know my headphones are working because I tried them on my iPad. It can't be my PC headphone jack either because I tried plugging my headphones into the motherboard headphone jack too. So, I was wondering if there is anything I can do to fix my audio.

• Click View all.
• Select Recording Audio.
• Follow the steps to troubleshoot Recording Audio.

Audio 'dip' issue with Windows 10

Method1: I suggest you to run an audio troubleshooter.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Sound. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Audio

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel

• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons

• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel

• Run the playing Audio troubleshooter.



Method2: Uncheck the enhancement feature in sound options.

• Press X from the key board and select control panel.
• Select sounds under control panel.
• Go to advance setting and uncheck the enhancement feature and check if that helps.
