Windows 10: Audio keeps cutting out when playing games

Hi All, For some reason my audio keeps cutting out when playing games, both for my speaker and headphones for which am I am using bluetoot for both. This is the motherboard I am using https://www.gigabyte.com/us/Motherboard/B650-AORUS-ELITE-AX-V2/support#support-dl-bios. I have also tried installing the updated drivers. I have also set the Communications tab to "do nothing".Help is appreciated

Audio cuts out when I start playing games.

I'm glad disabling the microphone in the "recording" tab helped! It suggests that there might be a conflict between the headset's audio output and its microphone input, causing the audio to cut out when both are active simultaneously.

If after trying these steps the issue still persists, it might be worth reaching out to Sony support for further assistance. They may have specific troubleshooting steps or updates that can help resolve the issue with the microphone enabled.

Audio Cutting out when in Games

For some reason whenever I am in games my audio will randomly cut out for a few seconds and then come right back. However, if I am listening to a youtube video or on a voice call with someone at the same time my game audio will cut out, but the audio from the video/call won't. I have tried updating drivers, messing in the properties of my headphones in sound settings, and even checking the HD Audio connection on my motherboard. This issue also only just started after I installed a new CPU and GPU into my machine, so I am thinking it's connected. Any suggestions?

 

Audio keeps cutting off on Windows 10

Hello. Ive been having issues with Windows 10 ever since I switched back to it about 2 weeks ago. For some reason, most of the audio cuts out randomly whenever I'm playing games and using Firefox to watch videos, but it seemed to be most prevalent when in voice calls in Discord. From what Ive seen, it seems to be switching to my monitor (it is a Thinkvision monitor), which is for some reason listed as a sound device, despite not playing audio. I disabled it and also ran the Audio Troubleshooter and used it with both the monitor and my skullcandy headphones (Connected via 3.5mm aux cord, listed in Windows as "Speakers"), yet the issue persists, and at times I have to either mute and unmute the application in order to fix the audio or sometimes completely restart the app. Any help is accepted and if there's any information that is missing I can always post more info.
