Windows 10: Audio keeps pausing on Windows 11 when using Bluetooth devices

As the title suggests, when I'm connected to any Bluetooth device my media that I'm playing keeps pausing every few minutes Spotify or Youtube are the once I mostly use. I have tried with 2 different devices and the same thing happens with both of them.I run Windows 11 Pro Version 24H2 if that matters. i have tried looking for answers but i cant seem to find anything about it.

Pausing media in browser mutes all bluetooth audio

This is a bug in how Windows handles media sessions--it can be triggered by any browser. This has been reported and locked before:

• Redirecting
  
• Redirecting
  

The workaround (described in the first link) is just to disable the media controls on your bluetooth device by turning off that feature in the browser that is playing media, or to disconnect and reconnect your bluetooth device after every pause. Which means the feature just doesn't work.

I'm not looking for another workaround here (it's known), I just want to contribute to the push for this to be escalated as the bug that it is.

 

Audio Issue on Windows 11 with Bluetooth Devices

Regarding the driver installation error you're experiencing, this may be because the specific driver package doesn't support your hardware configuration or isn't compatible with Windows 11.

Since you have an Intel processor and an Asus motherboard, I would recommend checking both Intel's website (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/) and Asus's website (Download Center | Official Support | ASUS Global) for updated audio drivers that match your specific hardware model number.

windows 10 Bluetooth audio problems

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

• What is the make and model of your computer?
• Do you get any error message?

I suggest to use a different Bluetooth speaker and check if the same issue persists. Also try using the current speaker with different computer running Windows 10 and check. As you are getting Crackles or warning sound it might be an issue with hardware.
