Windows 10: audio keyboard mute button stopped working, Windows 10

If I press the audio mute button on my keyboard I get a "turning blue" circle where my cursor is on screen but the audio from speakers does not mute. If I go to the speaker icon in task bar and mute from there the audio mutes.I checked audio drivers, as suggested by MicroSoft, they are all up to date.any ideas why my speaker keyboard mute button does the "blue circle thing" but doesn't mute audio like it used to? Again if I mute speaker from task bar speaker icon, it mutes.Al

Thinkpad's mute button stopped working

I have a T530 and after upgrading to windows 10 mute button stopped working. It's a hardware button located on the keyboard.

It used to mute all mics when pressed, but now it just does nothing. It does not mute my headset's mic. In fact, when I open Recording devices settings I can see that none of the connected microphones are muted - they all show green bars when I speak to
them.

I installed all fresh Lenovo drivers related to audio but nothing seems to help.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix it?

 

Mute button not working

I have a Yoga Duet 7i Gen 6 (13" Intel) laptop.

And my mute button on my keyboard suddenly stopped working.

It used to have a pop-up thing that shows up on my screen, which indicates that it has enabled or disabled the mute.

However, now the mute button only lights up the LED keyboard and does nothing. I've tried restarting, and doing all the research but nothing.

In the meantime, I suggest you follow these methods to troubleshoot your laptop:

Method 1: Run Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter

Follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X and select Control Panel.
• Change View by from Category to Small Icons/Large Icons.
• Click on Troubleshooting.
• Select Hardware and Devices and follow the on-screen instructions.

Method 2: Go to the Manufacturer's website and download the latest keyboard driver.

Follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X key and click Device Manager.
• Expand the Keyboard.
• Right-click on the Keyboard driver
  and select
  Uninstall.
• Now, go to the Manufacturer's Website and download the latest keyboard driver.
  
• Once the download is complete, run the setup file and install the keyboard driver software.
• Restart the computer and check.
