    Audio Latency/Delay issues with Realtak driver Windows 10


    Hello!


    I have done dozens of Google searches/fixes, and then spent a couple hours on a chat with a great HP rep, but we have been unable to fix an audio latency issues with my machine. I am turning here, in hopes of finding some answers.


    Please note, that the machine is less than 2 weeks old


    Symptoms:

    • Audio sound delays for 1-2 seconds, and has a bit of static, after "play" is clicked on any media YouTube, Spotify, iTunes
    • Button is clicked, media starts rolling, then 1-2 seconds sound comes out of the speaker.
    • Same for headphones



    Here are the things the HP rep did for me. They were real helpful.

    • performed hard reset
    • uninstalled reinstalled and updated audio drivers through device manager
    • BIOS up to date version F.15, updated windows and additional driver updates as well
    • reinstalled windows from ISO file
    • clean installed NVIDIA graphics drivers
    • changed audio drivers to high definition audio driver
    • [COLOR=rgba215, 57, 0, 1]After rolling back/changing the drivers, the delay decreased to about 1/2 sec, but the static is still there[/COLOR]

    Latency issues with Audio recording on the PC

    I am running windows 10. i have a sound latency problem. I have read about the Realtek driver issue, but my device manager doesn't say that name, rather it says "High Definition Audio Device. What is really frustrating, is that my old (slow) windows xp computer
    was able to do my audio recording without any noticeable latency, but now, I can't listen and record at the same time.

    The Ultimate Realtek HD Audio Driver Mod for Windows 10

    Everyone that post ids, need just do these steps and you will be good. I kinda tired of keep on uploading the inf. file

    1.Go Open up device manager
    2. Go under sound,video, and game controllers
    3. Find Realtek High Definition Audio
    4. Right click and hit update driver
    5. Browse my computer for driver software
    6. Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer
    7. Click Have Disk and hit browse
    8. Click on the Realtek HD Audio mod folder and look for win64
    9. Click on the HDXRT4 and click ok,
    10. Click Next and Yes
    additional if you want dts audio and others, install it now before next step.
    After it is done, restart the PC

    You should be good then and also make sure before doing these steps that you have driver enforcement disabled.

    Hi, if you search for e.g. 'stuttering' or 'latency' using the search box above, you will find other threads posted about latency issues. These are not easy to address - ideally you would see threads marked Solved in the title.

    One person who did resolve this found he had to install
    Intel Rapid Storage Driver
    for his SSD (don't know if you've got a SSD).
    And very shortly afterwards, a BIOS update that came out.

    E.g. some I found for you:

    Would suggest you search first and see if anything helps, then post back with exactly what you've tried.
