Windows 10: Audio not working: "No audio device is installed"

Laptop: Dell Latitude 9510OS: Windows 11 Pro Build 22631Hi there,I had a problem with the audio on my Dell laptop when playing video, where the audio would not work whilst the video would also stall badly. However, the video played as normal when it was muted.I updated all my drivers using CCleaner, including the "Intel Smart Sound Technology" drivers, and this has made it worse! I now get: "No audio device is installed" and "No input/output devices found".Can anyone help please? Am I right to assume that the problem lies with the ""Intel Smart Sound Technology" drivers?

I've tried every step that was suggested, still getting no audio output device installed.

 

Numerous audio devices - why?

Looks like you have audio drivers installed for your AMD card. If you don't use it, you should be able to just uninstall that aspect of AMD drivers. I don't use the Audio through my Nvidia card, so I just don't install that driver.

Or, just ignore them as you suggest.

In that case, I suggest you follow below.

Step 1:

In the search box on the taskbar, type device manager, then select it from the results.

Step 2:

Select the arrow next to Sound, video and game controllers to expand it.

Step 3:

Look for IDT High Definition Audio CODEC. If it's listed, right-click it and select Update Driver, then select Browse my computer for driver software > Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.

Step 4:

You’ll see a list of pre-installed drivers. Select High Definition Audio Device, and then select Next.

Step 5:

Restart PC

Let me know the results after performing the above.
