Windows 10: Audio not working Windows 10 64bit Lenovo Legion 5 15IMH05H

Hello,I am currently experiencing a very severe issue with my audio on my 4-year-old Lenovo Legion 5 15imh05h.To preface this issue its worth noting that I have had worsening but seemingly random nvlddmkm 153, 13 and 14 GPU crashes when playing games. I did very thorough troubleshooting on that issue but nothing has worked, and seen as several hundred other users have reported this issue in the past 6 months on posts I found all across the internet, I am fairly certain that this is driver side or a conflict of Microsoft and nvidia software.This current new issue started when I was playing “Min

After a Windows 11 (22H2) update my laptop (Lenovo Legion 5-15IMH05H Type 81Y6) audio is glitching and screeching.

Hi,

After running the latest update Windows 11 (22H2) update my laptop (Lenovo Legion 5-15IMH05H Type 81Y6) audio is glitching and screeching. I rolled back the previous version and it works again. Is there a way to fix the issue after the update?

I following with no luck:

1) troubleshooting

2) Fixing audio drivers from Device Manager (update, uninstall, manual install)

3) Restart audio services from Services

I looked into manufacturers site for manual update/download, but it has drivers only for windows 10.

I read somewhere that some Lenovo laptops might not be Windows 11 22H2 compatible. Is this true and is there a workaround?

No suggestions but want to say nice laptop. They also seem to be popular being they're currently unavailable

That said my only suggestion would be to take time to learn the laptop yourself.

I have checked the specifications of this laptop, and it meets the Windows 11 requirements. But actually, Lenovo has not provided any Windows 11 drivers for this laptop.

However, I suggest you reinstall the audio driver as instructed below using the driver provided for Windows 10 and check if the mentioned issue is fixed.

Download the latest audio driver from the link below, uninstall the current driver, restart your computer, and install the driver you downloaded.

You should be able to uninstall the current Realtek driver in "Settings > Apps > Apps & features". It should be named "Realtek Audio Driver" or "Realtek High Definition Audio Driver".
