Windows 10: Audio Not Working

Hi! So a bit more information would be that earlier today I just simply turned off my laptop and then suddenly when i opened my laptop my audio started to sort of bug out, now I didn't mind it much but when I went into a Discord call I have not checked other apps my audio just stopped working, now when I went to look for information online I think some people had sort of the same issue but the main outlier is that when they join calls they could still hear people in the call but when I do it my whole audio just disappears, I think one time when I left the call I could hear things again but t

AUDIO SERVICE NOT WORKING.

Hi,

In that case, I suggest you follow below.

Step 1:

In the search box on the taskbar, type device manager, then select it from the results.

Step 2:

Select the arrow next to Sound, video and game controllers to expand it.

Step 3:

Look for IDT High Definition Audio CODEC. If it's listed, right-click it and select Update Driver, then select Browse my computer for driver software > Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.

Step 4:

You’ll see a list of pre-installed drivers. Select High Definition Audio Device, and then select Next.

Step 5:

Restart PC
