Windows 10: Audio not working

okay, I've been dealing with this for a few days but basically I bought a built pc which had windows 11 installed right before sold to me, I bought new speakers for the pc which have a USB and a audio jack to connect so I have both plugged in the correct spots, with my headphones I can split them or just plug in the audio jack but when I don't use the mic jack the headphones don't make any sound, with the mic jack plugged in, the sound is like an electronic tone sometimes static but when i say static people think my audio jack is dirty but its not, the same sound comes out of the speakers. AUDIO SERVICE NOT WORKING.

Hi,

In that case, I suggest you follow below.

Step 1:

In the search box on the taskbar, type device manager, then select it from the results.

Step 2:

Select the arrow next to Sound, video and game controllers to expand it.

Step 3:

Look for IDT High Definition Audio CODEC. If it's listed, right-click it and select Update Driver, then select Browse my computer for driver software > Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.

Step 4:

You’ll see a list of pre-installed drivers. Select High Definition Audio Device, and then select Next.

Step 5:

Restart PC

Can not record audio.
