    Audio occasionally makes a brief buzzing sound, as if my headphones were just being plugged in.


    This can happen when I for example play a video or any sound after one hasn't been played for a bit. When I play the video/sound, it makes a little click and little buzz for about half of a second then plays the audio just fine. What's happening? It's like it keeps switching off from any audio source and then when audio comes it makes a little pop when it's switching to headphones. It is driving me absolutely crazy. In addition, if I have the newest driver, this issue happens. However, if I downgrade the driver, some games have audio issues, but the popping issue stops. What do I do? Also, the

When I play the video/sound, it makes a little click and little buzz for about half of a second then plays the audio just fine. What's happening? It's like it keeps switching off from any audio source and then when audio comes it makes a little pop when it's switching to headphones. It is driving me absolutely crazy. In addition, if I have the newest driver, this issue happens. However, if I downgrade the driver, some games have audio issues, but the popping issue stops. What do I do? Also, the drivers listed from my manufacturer's website are over a year out of date.

    Buzzing Sound in Background of Audio

    Hello,

    When my headphones are plugged into my laptop, there is a buzzing sound in the background of the audio. I know it’s not a problem with the headphones, because I tested it with my iPad and it worked perfectly. How do I stop this buzzing sound? Any suggestions

    Here's my results

    1. The buzzing doesn't decrease if I lower volume / increase if I raise volume
    2. My headphones don't have a volume control built-in
    3. My headphones don't have a detachable cable
    4. I plugged my headphones into my phone and didn't hear any buzzing
