Audio only comes out of one ear when using only MS teams, otherwise works fine with other apps

I have had this recent issue with MS teams where no matter what headphones I use, that the audio only comes out of the right side and its at a very low volume. I have to turn up my volume to 100 to barely hear the other person. This seems to only be an issue when using MS teams as when I use Spotify or Youtube etc, I have no issues. I have checked for MS updates, I have turned off all the audio enhancements and made sure that the right device is selected within MS teams. I also checked to make sure there is no audio balance issue. I even signed in and out of my account. This really seems like

    :)

  2. Teams app camera does not work?

    Hello Perelini Lameko-Masoe,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

It seems that you are having an issue about Teams camera not working. That is very annoying. I will do my best to help you. Here are some of my suggestions:

If your camera isn’t working in Microsoft Teams, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Check for Updates:
      • Make sure you have the latest Windows update or update installed.
      • In Teams, go to Settings and Check for updates.
    2. Close Other Apps and Restart:
      • Close any other apps that might be using your camera (like Skype or FaceTime).
      • If you’re using an external camera, unplug it and plug it back in.
      • Restart your device; sometimes a simple reboot can resolve camera issues.
    3. Make a Test Call:
      • Open Teams, click your profile picture, and go to Settings > Devices.
      • Under Audio Settings, select Make a test call.
      • Follow the instructions from Test Call Bot to check if your mic, speaker, and camera are working.
    4. Check App Permissions:
      • On Windows, open Settings > Privacy & security > Camera.
      • Turn on Let apps access your camera and ensure Microsoft Teams (work or school) is allowed.
      • If already enabled, toggle it off and back on.
      • Restart your device after making changes.
    5. Update Drivers:
      • If using an external webcam or if your camera isn’t working in Windows 10, check your drivers.
      • Follow step-by-step instructions for checking your Windows drivers.

I hope it can solve your problem.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

    Best Regards,

    William.S- MSFT

Headphones only working in left ear.

I have just built myself a brand new pc and I have plugged in my regular headphones (that work perfectly fine on other devices) and audio is only coming through the left ear. I have checked the balancing and it says that both are fine. The troubleshooter says nothing is wrong, but I am only getting audio through one ear, please help.

My Webcam is not working with Microsoft Teams

    Hi Antonio,

I have gone into settings as you said.

Microsoft Teams is listed under 'Some desktop apps might not appear in the following list or are not affected by this setting' which comes under the 'Allow desktop apps to access your camera'.

The Webcam works with the following apps: -

    Windows Camera app

    Skype (from Microsoft)

    Zoom

I have checked that my Kaspersky software and it is allowing access by Teams to the Webcam. I uninstalled the Webcam driver and then reinstalled it.

As the Webcam works with all other apps then I believe it must be the interaction with Teams and my Webcam.

    Please advise next steps please.
