    Greetings all,

    I have a question for you gurus. I have a multi monitor setup and 1 of the 3 monitors is my TV with built in speakers. I know we can confine certain browsers to out put on specified speakers and set that as default but can we set where the browser is being displayed to auto adjust which speaker?

    For example:

    Display1 Display2 Display3 all have speakers to keep this simple. I have 3 browsers, FireFox, Explore, Chrome. I open up youtube with FireFox on Display2, it would output on display two, and when I move Firefox to Display3 and start playing Netflix, the sound would output on Display3. All this done without going into SettingsSoundAdvanced sound options then messing with output/input values.



    If this is not an option, it would make me happy if in the future it does and hope others also have a want for this.

    • What is the make and model of the computer?


    I suggest you to try the troubleshooting steps listed in the articles listed below:



    If you’re facing sound issues on Envy 24 monitor speakers, you may try the steps listed in
    HP Flat Panel Monitors - Troubleshooting Sound Problems with Monitor Speakers



    If the issue persists, you may update the chipset drivers for your PC and check if it works.

    Assign monitor Numbers

    Hi,

    If you're pertaining to making Acer screen as the monitor 1 and the other is 2, you can just have them interchanged by going following the steps below:

    • Right-click on your desktop screen > Display settings.
    • Under "Select and rearrange displays", just drag the monitor basing on your choice of number; then, click on "Apply" button after.

    If the above given information is not what you're pertaining to, let us know so we would know the next action we can give you.

    Update us after doing the steps.

    How To Change Monitor Audio To Motherboard Audio

    Answer Number 1.

    I want to use external speakers.

    Monitor do not have speakers, it has audio output.

    Answer Number 2.

    I am hearing only from motherboard hdmi audio output to my external speakers.

    Monitor do not have speakers, it has audio output.

    I have splitted out display and audio before going to monitor.

    I have given only display input to the monitor.
