    Audio output not working after sleep in windows 10

    I have problem with audio output not working after my PC resumes from sleep. After resuming, speakers do work, but there's no sound from audio output jack. I am forced to restart my PC to use headphones.

    I have observed that whenever this happens, the volume icon in the taskbar tray disappears.

    I have tried uninstalling audio drivers and re-installing them. But nothing works (except restarting PC)

    My windows PC is updated with all latest cumulative updates. All hardware drivers are also up to date.

    Please suggest methods to get it working.

    1. May I know the make and the model of the computer?
    2. When you say "Microsoft windows update has blocked my audio output device from working" are you not able to get Audio from your computer
    3. Which update was installed?

    Audio output not working after sleep in windows 10

    Windows 10 no audio output

    I had this same problem with the initial update to win 10, reinstalling the driver worked for me then. However, since the last security patch it has killed my rear output for audio, and reinstalling the drivers has not worked. I can get some audio output
    from the front sound output, but not from the rear output. Any suggestions?
