Audio output settings balance issue. One channel way softer than the other?

Randomly I change nothing, my sound settings changed, one audio channel will be way softer than the other. I know how to adjust the balance in the audio settings, but why is this happening?

I should not have to constantly reset my settings to have audio at the same volume in both channels. Does anyone have a way to lock this setting or force both channels to the same volume?

    :)

New Windows 10 update won't let me balance audio so one channel is louder than the other

My Windows automatically updated yesterday (i don't know what the update is called), but now i can't balance the left and right audio channels separately. this is a big problem for me because i am partially deaf in my left ear, and in order to hear things
normally i need to have the left audio channel about 18% louder than the right. I've tried going into the devices properties and balancing the left and right levels seperately (which i was able to do in the very same menu before windows updated) but it didn't
    work.

    Lumia 800 audio channel balance

Hello. I have a Nokia Lumia 800. I am wondering if it is possible to set audio channel balance on this phone (like in the Windows mixer on the computer). My hearing is not as good on my right ear and this is pretty necessary for me to enjoy using heapdhones
with the Lumia 800... Does anyone know if this is possible?
