Audio randomly stops working, restart is only temporary fix

Ever since I have made my custom pc, I have been facing the issue of the audio not working after a random amount of time.Restarting fixes it but its only temporary, the issue comes back in about 10-30 mins.I have tried reinstalling my drivers to no avail.I also use VoiceMeeter if that can help, but I do not think the issue comes from it, as changing to another default playback device doesn't help.

    :)

    audio randomly stops working

    Hello all,

My computer is currently connected to my Vizio E420-A0 TV (HDMI). My audio randomly stops working and the display audio device disappears. When it works I can see it in device manager:

And when it stops working it disappears:

The driver seems to be up to date:

Disconnecting and reconnecting the cable doesn't help or turning the TV off and on, but rebooting fixes it. Any ideas?

Taskbar and Sound Randomly Stop Working. Restart Fixes it temporary...

Can't remember when this started to happen, but a while ago, I would get this issue where the Taskbar would stop working. I tried to troubleshoot, looked online and didn't find many answers except that i wasn't the only one with the problem. It's totally
random when it happens and a simple restart is a temporary fix. I can go for hours or days before it happens again. So I just let the problem go and dealt with it.

Now what has started to happen, is when my taskbar stops working, my sound also does as well. When I try to play with sound settings or troubleshoot, I get the message "this device is in use by another application". Also totally random. I'll be playing a
game for example, my system will lock up for 3 seconds, and my sound will stop working. I'll close the application and click on my taskbar and is no longer working. Again, a restart will fix the issue until it randomly happens again.

Is anyone else familiar with this issue and know of any fixes?

Audio randomly stops working, restart is only temporary fix

    Audio + mouse stops semi-randomly

Hi - I am having two problems with my computer:

    • Audio stops entirely, usually when playing games - I can fix this by restarting the windows audio service

    • Mouse randomly stops working - I can fix this by unplugging and re-plugging the mouse in - This will sometimes, but not always, happen at the same time as the audio problem

A little background - This started happening after I did a full format of windows

I have disabled the power off to save electricity options for all my USB hubs, but i'm still having the issues - and I don't seem to have updates available to any drivers that I can see. My windows is also up to date with the newest version.

I have also updated my bios, and I have tried the windows playing audio troubleshooter

Thanks Audio randomly stops working, restart is only temporary fix :)
