  1. Audio randomly very loud and distorted.

My audio will suddenly skyrocket and distorted with static. I've been having this issue for a while and I've just put up with it as my new reality. I'm experiencing this on not one, but four different computers. An MSI gaming desktop with video games, an ACEPC micro desktop running YouTube, a Lenovo laptop watching DVDs and my Acer desktop I use for working from home. The only thing that any of these devices have in common is Windows. One is still running on 10, the other three are on 11. Drivers are up to date according to Windows and I use different audio outputs on each of them.

    :)

  2. Realtek Loudness Equalization gives distortion

I am "sorry" for joining this post without an actual answer...

But you might be looking at another problem...

I am running windows 7 64bits and started having this exact same issue last week after updating my NVIDIA drivers... (i use hdmi audio output to my TV)

I have been using the loudness equalization for years now... never had issue... after the nvidia update, if my audio is not "maxed out" and loudness is turned on, i get pretty bad distortion as well... however, if i keep my windows volume maxed out and use
the tv volume to adjust, the distortion goes away...

I would really like to find a solution for this which is why i'm writing here and following as it seems to be related...

sound distorted after windows 10 anniversary upgrade

This is where I'm at on my HP laptop with Windows 10 and the Anniversary update.

I completed step #3 "hardware and sound" but that took me to an option for "sound, speakers." There was no "properties" as step #4 suggests. I selected "sound, speakers" and then found "properties." After selecting "properties" there was no "enhancements
    tab" as step #5 suggests.

Regardless, I then uninstalled the realtek audio driver. I noticed that when I did this without restarting my laptop that the sound was now tinny, but not distorted as it was previously. After restarting, the sound was again full, yet distorted.

Realtek still shows in my programs list, though it shows no memory is used.

    Thanks for your continued help.
