Windows 10: Audio stopped working after upgrading win11 to 22H2

Hi,My audio is not working after upgrading to 22H2. My computer is an ASUS less than one year old. I have tried to reinstall the Realtek driver without solving the problem. Looking in the devicemanager the Realtek driver has this error after each time I have reinstalled the driverevice INTELAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0294&SUBSYS_104313B2&REV_1000\5&205ca6cb&0&0001 had a problem starting.Driver Name: oem88.infClass Guid: {4d36e96c-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}Service: IntcAzAudAddServiceLower Filters: Upper

upgraded to windows 10 by reservation few days ago... compatibility test result was fine... audio stopped working all of a sudden... tried upgrading the driver software in device manager
but in vain... also tried these methods suggested by Microsoft help community... but the audio is still not working, neither speakers nor headphones

Method 1:

I suggest you to run the Playing Audio troubleshooter and check if it helps.

• Type troubleshooting in the search bar.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click on Playing Audio.
• Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.
• Check if issue persists.

Method 2:

If there no updated drivers available on the computer manufacturer’s website, then try installing it in compatibility mode. Compatibility mode runs the program using settings from a previous version of Windows. Follow these steps to install the drivers
in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

• Download the audio driver from the manufacturer’s website.

• Right-click on the driver setup file and click on ‘Properties’.
• Click on the ‘Compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 8/8.1 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation. Once this is done,
  restart the computer and check if the issue persists

 

Win11 upgrade not coming

If you checked again my previous replies, you can see ASUS re-installed my new notebook a even newer Win10 Home installation. After this 2nd time installation, I only did these to the toy:

1. installed chrome
   
2. changed its display brightness
   
3. changed wallpaper
   

After your previous suggestion, the 1 month temp McAfee was gone.

I can't figure out why I can't upgrade to Win11 for such a new notebook. Newer notebook will come with Win11 natively

This way of adding "TaskbarSi" to the registry does not work in the new version of Win11

it only work in old version of Win11
