    Audio through HDMI to TV stops working.


    I'm having trouble with my audio going from my computer to my TV through the HDMI cable following the latest update. When I restart the computer it works fine for a time, but after it sleeps and wakes up the audio starts going back through the computer speakers and the audio system no longer recognizes the TV as an audio output source.

    After running troubleshooter, the computer comes back with "High Definition Audio Controller has Error." which he troubleshooter cannot correct.

    Hi,

    One possible reason why your HDMI audio output was not working due to outdated drivers. To isolate your issue, kindly answer the following questions:

    • Have you made any recent changes prior to this issue?
    • Did you get any error messages when you tried to connect your computer to your TV?
    • Have you tried updating your HDMI audio driver?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

    Nvidia HDMI Audio Out to TV Not Working

    So I've been staying at a hotel the past few months and I've had my laptop plugged into the TV via HDMI so I can watch netflix. Everything worked fine for months no problem. Then yesterday audio just stopped working and I can't use any resolution other than 1280x720 even if I try to force it.

    Any suggestions beyond the usual drivers, shutdown, unplug, or system restore shiznit?

    Relevant hardware:

    Laptop: Asus G60JX
    Video Card: Nvidia GTS360M

    As I don't have cable I often connect an HDMI cable from my laptop to my TV to view Netflix, You Tube etc,. Recently my audio stopped going to the TV. I get a picture but the audio still comes from the laptop where as before I had no audio on the laptop
