Windows 10: Audio Troubleshooter "forgot" my TV audio output exists.

Hello,Windows 11, MSIAfter a very temporary power outage, my TV audio stopped working. Just to be clear, the TV still produces audio, just not from the computer. It is presently and has almost always been connected to my laptop through a HDMI cord. I have of course reconnected the cord several times with no desired result. I ran the audio troubleshooter and now my TV isn't even recognized as an output device. Help please? Much thanks.

Run the audio troubleshooter from a batch script

I have an automated home theatre setup - a batch script that enables my TV as a display, and changes the TV to be my primary display (so games and apps open on my TV instead of my monitor).

The same script also changes my default audio device to be the TV.

The problem is every time I turn off my TV, it disappears from the list of audio output devices in Windows 10, and even when I turn it back on, it does not appear in the list. However, if I RIGHT CLICK on the audio icon and select "troubleshoot sound problems"
and immediately cancel/close the troubleshooter, the TV is automagically added to my list of output devices.

My question is - is there any way to have this troubleshooter be launched from a batch script and instantly closed? Alternatively, is there a way to force a refresh of the audio devices through a batch script?

 

Audio problems on TV output

So, mostly I use my computer with headphones, I have an evga rtx2070 connected to a desktop monitor that is set as my primary display. I also have it connected to my living room tv. I have no problems using my wireless headphones on the computer, but when
I want to put on content through the TV, the video connects fine, however It wont switch the audio over. If I restart the computer it seems to work, but when the PC goes to sleep or I switch sources on the TV the audio is once again muted. It shows audio going
from the pc to the TV and I get the menu sounds from the TV. If I run it through the troubleshooter it comes back, but it takes a few times. Obviously this or restarting the computer is not an ideal senario. It seems as though the audio is working, but the
video card is not wanting to output the audio to the TV without a redetection. Has anyone had this issue? does anyone have a solution?
