Windows 10: Audio-Video Sync Issue After Installing to Windows 11 24H2

Hello,I recently upgraded to Windows 11 24H2 and have encountered an issue while watching 4K 2160p movies. Prior to the update, I had been using Windows 11 23H2 without any problems. However, after upgrading to 24H2 and updating all my drivers via Windows Update, I am now experiencing audio and video synchronization issues when watching 4K content. But audio and video synchronized very well in H/W filter mode.I am using the same video player, PotPlayer, as I did previously, and the problem persists despite ensuring all drivers are up-to-date. Could this issue be related to the Windows 11 24H

• Are you facing this issue with particular video file or all the video files?
  
• Did you make any changes prior to this issue?

I would suggest you to follow the below steps to try resolving this issue.

Note: The steps mentioned below are applicable to Windows Media player only.

Make sure “Drop frames to keep audio and video synchronized”

1. Open Windows Media Player.

2. Click on Tools and then on Options

3. Switch to Performance tab.

4. Ensure that a check is next to the "Drop frames to keep audio and video synchronized" and "Turn on DirectX Video Acceleration for WMV files" options.

5. Click "Apply" and click "OK."

Restart Windows Media Player and open a video file. Ensure that the audio and video are in sync.

Audio Losing Sync In Videos

Thx, fireberd, will do. I realize now I'm experiencing the issues with BOTH:

1. Onboard sound - sync issues AND dropouts, pops
2. My Focusrite Scarlett 18i8

As the latency report says, my system is having trouble handling real-time audio. Since this is a new issue, what might be the source?

Hi all, using task monitor to see what's going on with CPU usage and power usage, here's what I found:

1. Memory stays steady at 5.3/15.9 GB
2. CPU Usage:

• When at rest with a music player, Thunderbird and Firefox open, a, CPU usage is around 2-7%
• When watching online video, CPU usage usually runs around 10-12% with spikes up to 18% once in a while, with Firefox being the spiker.
• When my DAW software runs with Focusrite Recording Interface engaged, CPU usage is around 4-7%

3. Power usage is generally very low across the board

• Firefox is Low. When video plays it can momentarily be moderate
• DAW software is Low

QUESTIONS:
A. What can cause this to all of a sudden start happening? And given that this is recently occuring;
B. What to try next?

Hi Guys,

Please suggest me best Audio Video Syncing application.

I have created one animation with few frames and the i have adjusted the movement of those frames as per audio bit which I had connected to my ears while making that animation. but now I want to sync that animation video with audio file. I did that with virtual dub software as well but somewhere in video the frames left behind the audio.

Please give me proper suggestion of application which can do that.
