Windows 10: Audio won't work after plugging in headset

Every time I plugged in my headset all audio out put will not be working, after I pulled out the headset the laptop speaker will not works as well It can only be resolved by restarting my laptop every time I plug in the headset I've also notice that a lot of video can't be play through media player as well not sure if it related to this audio issue

Headset mike not recognized - can't open Audio Manager

You could try going into settings and running the 'Troubleshooter'. Although this might not work as I think it may be a software/driver issue.




Ah okay. I have had a look at the manufacture Nubwo, and there doesn't seem to be any official drivers or software listed.

Thus I would suggest we try and uninstall everything related to the headset, and then let everything install automatically, as it had done on the other desktop (assuming everything was automatically configured, and it just worked).

1.) See if you can first remove the Realtek Audio Manager 1.0.0.222 software by uninstalling it.

• Settings > Apps > Click on the app and select 'Uninstall.'

2.) After that right click on Start menu (*Start) and select 'Device Manager'

• Under the 'View' tab, select 'Show hidden devices'
• Then click on the arrow before 'Sound, video and game controllers' as well as 'Audio inputs and outputs' (this should drop down to reveal a list of audio drivers and headsets)
• I can help you with which driver (in relation to your headset) to uninstall, if you post back with a screenshot.

Optional.) Or if you are comfortable with knowing which driver to uninstall, then do so

• Right click on the driver name > Uninstall (Check 'delete software for this device'). Perform a restart and plug the headset back in.

 

Computer microphone won't work when headset is plugged in

My computer's microphone is functional if nothing is plugged in. When I connect a wired headset, however, the microphone does not work. The headset has a microphone, and it works properly on other devices, but not on my computer. Moreover, this issue persists with other headsets- they work on other devices but not when plugged in to my computer.

I think the issue may be that Windows does not recognize my headset as an audio input device? When I plug it in and look at input devices, only the default computer microphone (Realtek(R) Audio) is listed. This is the same input that is available when no headset is plugged in.

Can anyone recommend a fix? I have ensured that all drivers are updated, so that's not the issue. The microphone is also not muted, the headset connection is secure (audio output works as expected- using it as a microphone is the only issue)

• Can you tell us the results of the troubleshooting steps present in the link we provided? Were you able to run the troubleshooter for sound issues and update your drivers?

If updating the audio driver from Device Manager wasn't able to rectify the issue, we suggest getting in touch with the audio device manufacturer for better assistance. Some audio devices may require specific driver or software
