Windows 10: Authenticator app can not be registered on a new iPhone

The authenticator app can not be registered on a new iPhone, the QR code can not be found. No other sign-in option has been set previously eg. via phone number Can not sign in to the security info page and change the sign-in method due to it asks to enter verification codes which are shown from the authenticator /mobile app

Removing the Authenticator App from my old iPhone.

Hello,

the authenticator app is installed in both my old and new iPhones; now, I want to unregister the old iPhone in order to remove the app from it; then I followed the instructions from Microsoft (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...the app from,verification for your old device.) Unfortunately, in my account security page, it is possible to unregister my new iPhone only, i.e. the old device doesn' even appear in the list, although it stills receives notifications and is able to give permissions.

How should I proceed in this case in order to unregister the old iPhone and keep only the new iPhone registered?

Thanks a lot in advance for a solution to this issue.
