Windows 10: Auto brightness doesn't adjust after waking up from sleep

I have a laptop Asus Vivobook K6602V that has an auto brightness feature. When the ambient light changes while the laptop is awake, the auto brightness works relatively fine I wish it was more responsive. But when waking up from sleep, the brightness is set to whatever it was when it went to sleep. Brightness was at about 20% last night when I used the laptop but today I open it in a very well lit room and the brightness stays at 20%. If I go to Settings and turn auto brightness on and off, it readjust correctly to about 70%. Or if I use my phone's torch to shine directly into the sensor, th

As you are unable to get the option for sleep in the Start menu, I suggest you to follow the steps provided by
John T in the link provided below and check:

Also, follow the steps provided below and check if you are able to adjust the brightness.

• Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
• Expand Display Adapters.
• Right click on the driver and select Update Driver Software.
• Follow the on-screen prompts to update the driver.

Brightness adjust

so after october Windows update my brightness adjust stopped working. It works, when I restart my laptop, but when I wake it up from sleep, it doesn't work... I got all drivers for graphics adapters, even deleted them and reinstall. My ambient light (auto
brightness) is also off... Thank you for your advices.

Brightness adjust stopped working

I cannot adjust brightness on my PC. At first when I restart my PC, it works. But when I wake it from the sleeping mode, it isn’t working. I have all the graphic drivers installed. and turned off
the auto brightness. I reckon this issue started from the last Windows update.
