Windows 10: Auto-hibernate out of control

Hi everyone, my laptop is running on the latest 20H2. If it goes in standby, after some time it will go automatically to hibernation. I want the hibernation feature enabled but I DON'T want my PC to automatically hibernate, since it is set to NEVER in advanced power options.


I'd be glad if anyone could help me.

We would like to isolate this issue that you're having right now. Will you be able to provide the exact error message that you recieved?

We suggest that you try to enable hibernation on your device using the Command Prompt.

To make hibernation available, follow these steps:

• Click Start, and then type cmd in the Start Search box.
• In the search results list, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as Administrator.
• When you are prompted by User Account Control, click Continue.
• At the command prompt, type powercfg.exe /hibernate on, and then press Enter.
• Type exit, and then press Enter to close the Command Prompt window.

Auto Hibernation not working in Win10 build 14393

Hello,

I was able to get my laptop on hibernate when I am away for half an hour. I did that by going into "change advance power settings" through this address Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Power Options\Edit Plan Settings by clicking on sleep menu, opening
it, and set hibernate timer on 30 minutes. I double checked that I was editing the same power plan that I was using but still now I cant get my laptop on auto hibernate after 30 minutes, even when hibernation is also enabled from this address Control Panel\All
Control Panel Items\Power Options\System Settings but this also made it work. as far as I remember this problem is occurring when I reset my old build of win10 and updated my win10 to current build after restoring it. I still have hibernate option visible
in start menu, and my laptop gets hibernated when I do it myself, but auto hibernation now don't seems to be working anymore despite several attempts. what could be the issue? before suggesting me long complicated procedures, I wanna know why its not working
through usual channels?

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
