Windows 10: Auto Photo Rotation

    Auto Photo Rotation


    W10 Hp 17" Envy Laptop.

    Took some photos yesterday on my Panasonic camera, downloaded them via SDHC card but for some reason they are being auto rotated to 90deg from the vertical both in landscape and portrait. This is in viewer and my photo editing programme.

    Even when looking at them in explorer when they are the correct orientation when I try to insert them in MS Word they are are at 90degs. In Word it doesn't seem to matter if I have rotated them in viewer or not they still end up 'on their side'.

    It's doing my head in.

    Disable Photo Auto Rotate Win 10

    The screen auto-rotate is not the problem. The photos inside of file explorer are.

    Nokia 5800 problems!!

    No go here. Tried that solution, and still nothing on the auto-rotate. However if I go into the beta labs Photo Browser it works fine. That's the only app that it still auto-rotates in. Was working this morning, went to reply to an email this afternoon,
    and noticed it wasn't.

    Auto Photo Rotation

    Hi Mayfly,

    I have been looking around a bit and found something that could solve the problem. Could you have a look if your camera has the same option as described in this screenshot? Panasonic rotation

    Ooo thank you - I have changed the setting so hopefully that will do it. I wasn't aware it existed so not sure if/how it was changed.
