Windows 10: Auto Rotate randomly "turns on"

I've noticed lately on my surface pro 7, that the auto rotate randomly "turns on". The auto rotation icon is turned off, but when I'm using my surface pro 7, I'll being something and for a second or 2 it won't me do anything and then on the upper left handle screen it'll say auto rotate/rotation never been able to confirm when this happens if the rotation lock shows turned on. Then a few seconds later it'll go back to normal.

Now my rotation lock is always locked/grayed out. I 99.9% of the time don't use the surface pro 7 as a tablet. I'm not doing anything that should cause it to rotate or say this.


I'm running the latest windows. Any helpful tips to get it to randomly "turn on" or pop up.

Why does my screen not rotate?


The auto rotation lock feature is turned on by default in Windows 10. Use the following steps to turn off this feature.

1. Place the tablet into Pad/Tablet mode.
2. Click the Start
   
   menu and select Settings.
3. Click System.
4. Click Display.
5. Scroll down and toggle Lock rotation of this display to OFF.

• Have you checked on the action center if there is a Rotation lock option?

In the meantime, we suggest that you check the Screen Resolution display to check if there is a setting to allow the screen to auto-rotate. Here are the steps:

• Search for Display and then click Change display settings.
• Mark the checkbox beside Allow the screen to auto-rotate option if possible.

Auto rotate and g force

I dont have that option in settings. I go to settings and the display is in the sysyem folder and it doesn't have that option. This is a flexx11 that had win 8.1 did the upgrade about 5 weeks ago and everything was fine. Keyboard started messing up and cust support had me do a reset. During that time it installed a very different win 10 than the converted one. When using it for games it doesnt respond to turning either, figure it's connected. Thanks
