Windows 10: AUTO SCROLLING IN WINDOWS 11

I'm facing issue of auto scrolling. On the desktop itself mouse is pointing to the last icon , auto scrolling in chrome , even when trying to write a word in notepad or office cursor is getting stuck to the end character of the word.Previously my system was windows 10 just today upgraded fo windows 11 facing problem in both OS.Tried several way like updating drivers and enabling & disabling touchpad then to of no use.Same problem is also seen when booting in safe mode.Any suggestion or assistance would be more then helpful.

Auto scroll issue

I suggest you to install Synaptic driver in Compatibility mode. Also install Keyboard and mouse drivers from manufacturer website.

Follow the steps below on how to install driver in compatibility mode:

1. Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website and save it on your local disk.

2. Right click on the setup file of the driver and select “Properties”.

3. Select “Compatibility” Tab.

4. Place a check mark next to “Run this program in Compatibility mode” and select operating system from the drop down list.

5. Let the driver install and then check the functionality.

It could be because of an outdated mouse driver, your settings, and other possible causes. To help you troubleshoot, I would suggest following the steps in the link I shared below.

Problems with auto scroll

I'm currently experiencing problems with auto scroll. My mouse randomly auto scrolls, stops a second later, and then I won't be able to close/open any programs or tabs. I have tried trouble shooting, updating drivers, running several virus scans (no viruses found), and nothing seems to work. And even after using a brand new mouse, the problem continues. Any suggestions or help is appreciated. The problem started when I installed Windows 11 and did a factory reset, I thought Windows 11 was the issue so I reverted back to Windows 10.
