Windows 10: Autocorrection in other languages in E-mail

I think I'm using the app "Mail" for windows 10 but whatever I do, the autocorrection doesn't work when I want to send an E-mail in Swedish to someone. In my e-mail, when I go to "Alternative" and select Swedish, it turns back to English automatically and red-lines every word that is unknown in English! How do I change the autocorrection language?

How disable autocorrect/spell check in Windows 10 Mail app?

We are August 2019 now and toggling autocorrect off in the language settings on the main page, didn't stop the issue. Typing the Dutch phrase "Iemand
heeft een probleem" would still be autocorrected to "Iemand
heft een problem".

As many confirmed, toggling off autocorrect misspelled words in settings > language > Spelling, typing and keyboard, does not cut it.

On the bottom of the page with these settings, you should find a section "More keyboard settings" and a topic "Suggestions and autocorrections"

Once I toggled off the autocorrections there as well, the issue in the windows 10 mail app stopped occuring (I closed and re-opened the mail app once, before testing, but not sure this is required).

I didn't spend time backtracing my steps and trying to confirm whether this in fact was the solution, but possibly this helps others, who are as frustrated as I was with this issue.

 

How to really turn off already disabled AutoCorrect feature in Windows 10

In Windows 10, there's the option to turn off autocorrection of spelling errors in "Settings - Devices - Input". In Windows 10 Mail, you can also disable the highlighting and autocorrection of spelling errors when writing an e-mail in the options menu.
Still, the autocorrection will be "correcting" errors on its own, which is even more annoying when you're writing in a language Win10 doesn't understand.

I presume that the spell check is somehow integrated into the keyboard language, but only active within some applications (maybe those that don't appropriately control it). I have several different languages installed, with German being the main one, but no English keyboard installed, as it is simply not neccessary when using the german one (no additional keys/letters in English, and I prefer the language list not to get too long). Now when writing a mail in English, it autocorrects everything german-style (in Mail). Within the keyboard settings (control panel - time, language and region - language - keyboard=>options) I have access to some details regarding the spell checking (differently for different keyboard languages), but no option whatsoever to just turn it off!
Regardless of me using a german layout for english input, there should be an option for anyone not wanting a spell check to turn it off, shouldn't it?

Does anybody have a clue whether there is another hidden option for spelling checks which could really turn this thing off?

 

Autocorrect in Win10... basically non-existent(?)

In this case, we suggest following the steps below to work around the issue:

• On the Cortana search box, type Typing Settings and press
  Enter.
• Turn off Autocorrect misspelled words and Highlight misspelled words.
• Restart your PC.
• Do step 1 and 2 but this time turn on Autocorrect misspelled words
  and Highlight misspelled words.
• Restart your PC.
• Check if the issue still exist.
