Bad system Config info help

I am running into the blue screen on my Windows 10 PC and the error stop code I get is: bad system Config info.

I have already tried to reset my PC, system restore and start up repair. My PC can’t boot into safe mode either when it tries I just get the blue screen again.

Blue Screen (BAD SYSTEM CONFIG INFO) then 'Preparing Automatic Repair' loop

My fairly new Lenovo laptop running Windows 10 froze all of a sudden. After leaving it for 24 hours with no sign of fixing itself I force restarted it by holding the power button. Since then I haven't been able to use it as it first goes to a BSOD saying
'BAD SYSTEM CONFIG INFO' then restarts and boots saying 'Preparing Automatic Repair'. The automatic repair doesn't fix anything and gives me the option to either restart or go to Advanced options. Restarting goes back to the blue screen and the loop continues.
Going into troubleshooting, I've tried' System Restore', 'Startup Repair' and 'Reset this PC' and keeping my files, none of which have worked or fixed the problem. Any help would be much appreciated.

 

Bad System Config Info

I think I messed up something as I was using AVG System Cleanup. It showed 12% complete on what I thought was a defrag...for about 4 hours when I figured something must have gone haywire. I shut down, and now I can't get in at all.

When I turn on power I get "Preparing automatic repair;" then ""Diagnosing your pc"; then "Automatic repair couldn't repair your pc" with the mention that if I speak to a help agent, I sould give the stopcode: "bad system config info."

Have set up a dozen or so callbacks with MS help, so far they havn't honored any of them.

Ideas?
