  1. Automatic Repair Loop/Bootup Delays

So a few weeks ago my PC began experiencing freezing on bootup, initially it would just take a couple minutes to boot. The first time it happened I did get an error message which said "WHEA Uncorrectable Error" and it changed my boot order to put the UEFI SSD on top, which would give me the error "Start PXE over IPv4 on MAC", so I had to put Windows Boot Manager back first. Since then, I get no errors, but booting up is problematic. At first it would get stuck in an automatic repair loop where hitting restart a couple or handful of times it would eventually go through, now I have to run chkdsk

At first it would get stuck in an automatic repair loop where hitting restart a couple or handful of times it would eventually go through, now I have to run chkdsk or Automatic Startup Repair and it will go through usually, or sometimes just play around with repair options in automatic repair. But once it boots, it runs flawlessly, I get no error messages, I don't see chkdsk detecting anything, I've run SFC, didnt come up with anything bad, hard drive appears to be functioning as this has gone on for 2 months now. Is there anything at all I can do try to isolate this issue? I would prefer to try anything before I have to re-install Windows because I have so many programs that I would have to re-install and go through that whole process, everything is backed up, but that would be a process. Im just wondering if there are any more tips or tricks that even have a small chance of fixing this before I do that.

I have seen people say to just turn off automatic repair, but I dont know how dangerous that would be as far as, could it potentially get stuck on bootup and I wont be able to do anything about it.

  3. Automatic Repair Loop

    Hi Charlene,

Your concern regarding the device going into an Automatic Repair Loop can be caused by change on its settings/configuration or broken system files. To effectively assist you with your concern, can confirm if you've made any changes on your device prior to
    your concern?

As an initial step to get back into the normal Windows screen, we suggest that you perform a
Startup repair. The repair will attempt to fix any broken components/files which may prevent your device from booting properly. To do this, follow the steps below:

    • On theAutomatic Repair screen, select Advanced options.
    • Select Troubleshoot.
    • Select Advanced options.
    • Select Startup Repair.

We'll appreciate if you can send us an update.
