    Automatic Repair loop


    I just finished building my new PC and after a couple hours of testing it crashed. I turned it back on to find it booting up to show the logo with the words "Preparing Automatic Repair" with a loading circle. This screen shows for a second before the computer restarts and boots up again to this point then it restarts forever.


    I've checked other forums with similar problems only I've never been able to reach safe mode or system recovery. I can only reach the BIOS. I've used a USB drive to try reinstalling or repairing Windows but when it tries booting it will reach the logo then again, restart. I've disconnected my SSD and hard drive to try booting with no luck. I've individually checked both RAM sticks and reseated my GPU and have had no luck. I've reset the BIOS using the CMOS which also didn't work


    I've spent the day trying and retrying things I've found online or at the suggestion of friends. I'm out of ideas, any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

    Your concern regarding the device going into an Automatic Repair Loop can be caused by change on its settings/configuration or broken system files. To effectively assist you with your concern, can confirm if you've made any changes on your device prior to
    your concern?

    As an initial step to get back into the normal Windows screen, we suggest that you perform a
    Startup repair. The repair will attempt to fix any broken components/files which may prevent your device from booting properly. To do this, follow the steps below:

    • On theAutomatic Repair screen, select Advanced options.
    • Select Troubleshoot.
    • Select Advanced options.
    • Select Startup Repair.

    Here are the steps I generally recommend to fix automatic repair boot loops:

    Use Check Disk Utility

    Fix Boot and Rebuild BCD via Command Prompt

    Restore Windows Registry

    Delete the Problematic File

    Disable Automatic Startup Repair

    Check Device Partition and OsdevicePartition

    Perform Refresh or Reset Your PC
