Windows 10: Automatic Restart and Shutdown Caused by Kernel-Power 4163

Restart causes shutdown & shutdown causes restart

Event log shows windows update causing a restart:

Shutdown Type: restart

Less than one minute later event log shows OS has initiated a shutdown:

I have tried disabling Fast Startup under power options with no help.

Running shutdown /r /t 0 causes a shutdown.

Running shutdown /s /t 0 causes restart.

Try this, see if it works for you:

• Go to "Settings"
• Select "System"
• Select "Power and Sleep"
• Select "Additional Power Settings"
• Select "Choose what the power buttons do"
• Select "Change settings currently available"
• Ensure that "Turn on fast start up" is deselected (unticked)
• Click on "Save Changes"

Restart your computer after performing the steps.
