Automatic restart is literally making me buy a Macbook

Is THERE anyway to stop auto restart? For a week now I'm trying to render out a 3D scene so I leave my project over night to render for its 7ish hours time to completion. BUT windows restarts. YES, I check for updates every day, PC says "you're up to date", dirty little liar. I can't complete my work with this. Last night was my last straw (><) I checked for upadates, restarted, and then started my render, logged back in and started a render. I ********* woke up to my PC restarted. Checked event log and it says Software Protection re-started your PC. WHAT??? Don't tell me to set up active hours (I have), I work during the day I need those projects up, I need to use it, I reboot at the end of the week. Has anyone found a 3rd party software or plug that will stop it from rebooting? I've changed the gpedit settings, doesn't work.

    :)

    Vista Automatic Updating Error

    Resolution Suggestion:

    # To resolve this problem, make sure that BITS and the Automatic Updates service are started..

A simple solution but one that works in most circumstances!

    1. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.

    2. In the list of services, right-click Automatic Updates, and then click Properties.

    3. In the Startup type list, click Automatic, and then click Apply.

    4. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

    5. Right-click Background Intelligent Transfer Service, and then click Properties.

    6. In the Startup type list, click Manual, and then click Apply.

    7. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

Windows on Macbook Pro using Bootcamp

    Hi,

You need support software (drivers) installed with Boot Camp to use Windows 10. This software is automatically downloaded when you use Boot Camp Assistant. Boot Camp supports 64-bit versions of Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Pro when used with a supported
Mac. Here are the list that supports Windows 10:

    • MacBook Pro (2012 and later)
    • MacBook Air (2012 and later)
    • MacBook (2015 and later)
    • iMac Pro (2017)iMac (2012 and later)
    • Mac mini (2012 and later)
    • Mac mini Server (Late 2012)
    • Mac Pro (Late 2013)

We also suggest that you check and follow the steps shared by Andre Da Costa on this
thread on how to setup Windows 10 on your Mac using Boot Camp.

Let us know if you need further assistance.
