Windows 10: Automatic Shutdown

Hi, since upgrading to w10 from 8.1, automatic shutdown from task scheduler won't work. After googling i can't find a solution.
It is saying "one or more of the specified arguments are invalid" which is strange as it worked in 8.1, all i have in the argument box is /s. Can anyone tell me how to fix this method of doing it? thanks in advance

Often while playing games in full screen mode the windows 10 alerts kick me out of the game, im not sure if command prompt is open before this time but possibly. and recently its been giving me the alert of "You are about to be signed out; Windows Will Shut
Down In Less Than A Minute". Briefly i see Command Prompt Close Then in less than a minute, like it says it does so, shuts my computer down completely and that's that. It usually happens at around 9:55 and happens almost every night, i'm going to try and reinstall
windows 10 and see if that works. Please Help Me As This Is
REALLY Annoying and frustrating. I don't think i have long before my files get wiped and windows deleted. Please Help!

I don't need any special controlling programs that i have to pay for i can just know what i need to do and do it...

I had this same problem but managed to solve it just now, I'm not exactly sure which part of this fixes it or whether it will help you, so please let me know if it does *Smile

1. Created a new task by selecting Create Task... (not Create Basic Task)
2. In the wizard, next to Configure for:, I selected Windows 10

I think that's about it, everything else was just the default settings. If you're still having the problem, you might try making a batch file that calls your program with any needed command line parameters, and then just call that batch file from a new scheduled task. I would suggest abandoning any scheduled task that has the problem, rather than trying to fix it.

To run a batch file, you should have the following in the 'Action' tab of the Scheduled Task Wizard:
Action: start a program
Program/script: cmd
Add arguments (optional): /c "C:\some folder\YourBatchFile.bat"
