    Automatically open application upon device plug-in?


    There has been a topic troubling me for a while that I really want to find an answer to.Companies like Razer, SteelSeries and other vendors are able to manufacture devices like keyboards and mice which will automatically run an application when plugged into a PC - this is usually just an application which prompts the user to install their software and lighting controllers. How is this achieved?On my journey, I found that it used to be done with an Autorun.inf file; this was disabled after Windows 7 because of virus and malware issues taking advantage of it. The other way I found while scraping

    I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if that helps to resolve the issue.

    • Type Auto play in the search bar and select Auto play.
    • Toggle the button, Auto play for all media and device.

    usb deviced not dectected in windows application

    I have an application running in Windows 10. The device is recognized by windows 10 but not by the application.

    After the device is plugged into the usb port and recognized by windows 10 the error message in the application appears Device Not Detected

    I was wondering if the a resolution to the problem or a list of steps i may follow to debug the problem

    Popup Not Showing When Device Plugged in Audio Jack (Windows 10)

    Thank you for the additional details. For the troubleshooting, we recommend unplugging the device and uninstall it from the Device Manager app.

    • Open the Device Manager.
    • Locate the device that you want to uninstall.
    • Right-click and select Properties.
    • Go to Driver tab and click Uninstall.
    • To reinstall, plug the device back and it will automatically install the driver.
