Windows 10: Autorotate Flashes and Laptop goes to sleep

I have an Acer Aspire R and it's running windows 10. It has begun going to sleep on its own, especially when I'm in the middle of using it. I have searched far and wide for a solution to this and I'm getting frustrated. Sometimes when my computer decides to lock itself "Auto rotate" will flash in the top left corner of the screen before the laptop goes to sleep. Auto rotate is disabled on my laptop and the icon is grayed out in the notification manager. I have already searched the registry, reinstalled windows, uninstalled unwanted programs, updated drivers, reset the battery, and tried every other website solution.


I don't know what else to do. I have updated everything, all my games, windows, drivers, software... I have no idea what to do now. It does not seem to be overheating either. The problem happened again just now while writing this. My screen will flash, keyboard lights will turn off and my computer locks itself. I then have to log back into my laptop after waking it up. This has been happening since a couple weeks after I took ownership.


Do I have to factory reset my laptop? I wanted to stay away from doing that because I have many files, but... Does anyone know how to begin fixing this or is it a hardware problem? Please, someone give me your insight. I'm fairly fluent in computers, but now I'm stumped.

Laptop goes to sleep to quickly

Laptop Autorotate Cannot be Disabled

I'm having an issue where I can’t disable the autorotate feature of my laptop. The display rotates from my preferred landscape view to the undesirable portrait view whenever I physically tilt the laptop past a certain point. I want this behavior completely turned off; I do not care for the rotation and I do not care for the tablet mode.

My laptop is an ASUS Q324UAK model running Windows 10 Home 64-bit.

Things I’ve tried that have been unsuccessful:

1. changing the value of the rotation lock option in the action center
   
2. setting the option for tablet mode to "don’t ask me and don’t switch"
   

A question similar to mine has been asked here Enable rotation lock by default in Windows 10 but does not have any answers or comments.

I would be fine with changing registry values if it will fix the problem, but I tried what the OP suggested from the above question, and indeed the laptop still autorotates regardless of the registry edits.

To resolve your concern, you may follow the steps below:

• In Windows, search and open Power options.
• Click Change plan settings, for the power plan that is selected.
• Click Change advanced power settings.
• Do one of the following options to navigate to the hybrid sleep settings:

• Click the plus sign (+) next to Sleep.
• Click the plus sign (+) next to Allow hybrid sleep, then select
  Off from the drop-down menu, and then click OK.
