Windows 10: Autostart a piece of software when a device is connected?

Hi all.

I have a digital voice recorder (Olympus DM450) that I use occasionally. It USED to be that when I plugged it in via USB it automatically loaded the companies software (Olympus Sonority v1.4), automatically downloaded the content from the recorder, cleared it then reset the date and time. Honest, it did.

Now when I plug in the recorder I just get the standard "What do you want to do with this removable device?" prompt. I've dug through the rabbithole of menus but I can't reactivate this action.

It stopped when I did a wipe and reinstall about 18 months ago. I've not used it for a while but this last month I have.

Once I open sonority manually it sees the device, downloads as it should, clears it as it should, but fails to reset the date and time. Thats not a win 10 problem though.

So, any ideas how to make Sonority open when my device is connected? Thanks.

E52 Autostart Applications

Hi,

I installed fring on E52 and everytime i restart the phone, the fring
application tries to start up and connect to internet, how do i find out the list of autostart programs and services and how to disable their autostart feature?

7373 "no devices found"(ear piece)

Hi,

I have a motorola ear piece which i've used without any problem on a couple of nokia phones.

Got the 7373 yesterday, and it won't pick it up. followed the steps in the booklet, but keep getting the message "no devices found" even though the ear piece is on and beside it.

Any suggestions?

[Back in the day when PC's only had 16Mb of RAM and applications used chunks of these system resources it was an issue: these days most PC's are fitted with 3~4Gb Gigabytes and upward]
