Windows 10: Aux connection issues unless laptop is restarted

I have noticed that my laptop with Windows 11 will only recognize aux connections when I first plug in my headphones, then restart the device. It will not work any other way. This has been an issue since I updated to Windows 11 and had not been an issue previously. It isn't the most major inconvenience but I would rather not have to restart my laptop every time I plug headphones in. Does anyone know why this issue is happening/ a fix for it? All drivers are up to date, and I can't think of another reason for it.

In order for us to identify what triggers your laptop's issue when an aux cable is connected, we would like to gather more information:

• Have you tried connecting the aux cable and the headset to a different computer?
  
• Have you also tried connecting a different aux cable and headset to your laptop?
• Does the brief sound from the laptop only play upon inserting the aux cable and headset?

Strange aux issue

Hey!
So, when I plug any sort of AUX cable into my PC, whether its speakers, headset, headphones, it won't work unless they were in when the computer turned on.

Basically, I have to have my headphones plugged in before turning my PC on or AUX wont work.
