    Aux port problems


    Hi Community,


    Some time ago I had a problem in the aux port which I beleive might be a driver problem.


    Whenever I plug in the aux cable, earlier it used to show a prompt to select whether I had connected the line in cable, hesdphones, speaker, etc.


    Now thta prompt isn't displayed, it automatically recognizes the aux as headphones plugged in, and I can't connect the cable as a Line In..



    Please help me out at the earliest!


    Windows 10, 64 bit

    Hi Tom,

    In order for us to identify what triggers your laptop's issue when an aux cable is connected, we would like to gather more information:

    • Have you tried connecting the aux cable and the headset to a different computer?
    • Have you also tried connecting a different aux cable and headset to your laptop?
    • Does the brief sound from the laptop only play upon inserting the aux cable and headset?

    Since WIndows 10 AUX-Port is not working properly

    Thank you for helping me so fast.

    for some reason the aux-Port worked today and i think it will be like that in future.

    I changed no Settings for fixing this.
