Windows 10: Auzentech Forte 7.1 - missing driver for Windows 10

Greetings.
Anybody know of a driver for Auzentech Forte 7.1?
After upgrading to Windows 10 Pro all I have is some Microsoft generic drivers, and the sound is not too good *Huh.

I'm really impressed about how easy it has been to upgrade 4 PC's (2 stationary and 2 laptops), and it seems this is the only driver I can't find myself. Good job, Microsoft *Smile

Windows 10 Fall Creators Update (16299.15) Sound settings bug

I have the same issue (Auzentech X-Fi Forte, so basically Creative drivers) but figured out a workaround.

And yes, it is a Windows related issue (1709), because even changes in the most basic windows audio settings reset after boot/reboot.

But here is my solution how i fixed this:

a) Change your desired audio settings

b) Go into Windows sleep mode (not hibernate)

c) Wake Windows up

Voila, that's it, even if it sounds stupid.

Now after waking up the settings are saved even if you reboot system.

Btw: I waited 2 months after release of Fall Creators Update to avoid issues, but this one is next level ****.

i almost fogot. it seems auzentech went out of business or something because i went to their website to get the updated driver and the site was gone and the disc has no compatible drivers.

 

You could give these a try,

I always had good success with his driver packs when I had Creative sound cards.
